A grad student from Malaysia that is currently undergoing the study of the architecture course in Taylor's Uni. Presented upon here showcases the various works tackling during my period of study in architecture construct. It documentate the detail i try hard to experiment and practice whilst elaborating design in an architectural scale. Moreover, my initiative into exploring various designs scheme through scale-and-proportion to achieve that "something" in design. That "something" achieves the distinctive style n which the modern world chose to succumb. Understanding identity through art, science, philosophy, beliefs, and being rad(ical). Still venturing to explore and convince the many style in architecture to displace abstract concepts in imaginations to the reality plan; sculpting-artisans creating legacies for ourselves whilst for you. Developing architecture is like poets trying to write, but words don't rhyme.
Life before architecture,
It was simple and quite straight forward. I was quite the loner, implosive, good boy of the school of SMK Kota Kemuning. Being raised with generous and loving parents (Klang 1997 - 2014, then to Bukit Rimau 2014 -present) with 3 children including me, the middle, i've find life during the novice of my life quite humble. Do as you're told and head on, much like the education system in this country. Pointless. Gaming was the pinnacle of entertainment for the Y-Generation. We are convinced such frontier of entertainment can be addictive and believe it could benefit the better in us. I to, was convinced so. Minecraft , the AutoCAD of my time, was the prime medium to demonstrate my creativity in castle-making. Honest to point, i liked architecture because of Minecraft. Yes, bad idea.
During National Service way back, i had months to ponder as to what i want to do with myself in the future. The logic thinking and honour-to-family approval; pressured what i as a citizen should contribute to society and what not. Aside from spanning away from my friends' common studies; instead i was exposed to entry breaching in the national service. I had to study building plans, wall and floor materials, and importantly: people with their location. After months of breaking down buildings, it influenced in me of space-making. Intrigue in destruction; in there you'll find happiness.
Architecture is the one language i hold dearly to with the collection of languages i understand and (rarely) speak. Its a beautiful curse. Architecture envelopes my life in not just through built form; but the soul in everything, anything.
Having 3 years gone by in an instant during the study architecture, i've found hate, know responsibilities, adhered independence, intertwined with pure relation with someone, and importantly, matured. Architecture didn't just taught me buildings; but life.
